Tatiana Kuleshova
Born in Moscow, Russia in 1979, Tatiana Kuleshova started her musical education at the age of six at the Gnessin Special Music School of Moscow where she studied with the famous and respected piano teacher, Irina Rodzevitch. After her graduation in 1997, she attended the P.I.Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, studying under a medalist of Van Cliburn Competition Professor Alexander Mndoyants. In 2002, she graduated with a master’s degree in piano performance, accompanying and pedagogy. She continued postgraduate studies at the Conservatory for two years under Professor Vera Gornostaeva, a pupil of the famous G. Neuhaus.
During her student years Kuleshova was a scholar of the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation and the Russian Performing Art Foundation. After becoming a prizewinner and medalist of the Fifth International Piano Competition in Andorra in 1999 and the Fifth International Russian Piano Music Competition in San Jose, CA in 2004, she began performing in Russia, Spain, Italy, France, Australia and USA. In 2003, Kuleshova debuted at the Moscow Conservatory Great Hall in a concert marking the 100th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Horowitz. Tatiana also participates in both Classical and Jazz music festivals in Russia and abroad. In her extensive repertoire, she presents works of different epochs from Baroque to contemporary. Besides piano solo works, her repertoire also includes a large selection of chamber and vocal music.
Since 2006, Kuleshova has been teaching in the Central Community Music School at University of Central Oklahoma and at St. Paul’s Fine Arts Academy in Oklahoma City. She has been involved in intensive performances both solo and collaborative, and is engaged in 2008-2011 for concerts in United States and Russia.
In 2010, Kuleshova together with pianist, Valery Kuleshov, released a recording of their 2009 duet concert that debuted in the Moscow State Conservatory. This collaboration featured selections of Mozart, Prokofiev, and Rachmaninov’s duo piano works.
Tatiana Kuleshova moved to New York City in 2011 to study piano with Professor Solomon Mikowsky at Manhattan School of Music. She completed her Professional Studies as a prerequisite to her Doctoral degree in 2012.
While in New York, Tatiana worked as a piano instructor in Music Studio of Westchester, Bennett Conservatory of Music and Piano School of New York. She also taught music and theatre classes in Evrika Learning Center, The Music Path Company through the public school system, and participated as a piano and music theory trainer in summer music camp of The Noel Pointer Foundation.
In a period of 2012-2014, Tatiana was the organist and Music Director of St. Mary’s Church of Scarborough.
At the end of the 2014, Tatiana moved to Kansas City and dedicated herself to the Musica Piano Studio; a new music school she and her husband, Jonathan Ledbetter, co-founded in the last two years.
