Day of Russia at the Russian Consulate in Houston

Russian Heritage Society was invited to be part of the day of Russia celebration in Houston. 

The Russian Consulate General in Houston is the national state office of international relations, which within its consular district (includes: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas) exerts vested responsibilities on behalf of the Russian Federation. The Consulate General is an integral part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Jane has been a volunteer for many events of the Consulate General office: consulate outreach sessions,  WWII medal award event in Saint Louis, WWII veteran list assembly, assistance with polling space set up etc.

International Day of the Child 2018

International Day of the Child Festival 2018

We participated in the international day of the child in Independence, MO with our music and dance program. Jane, Ksenia, Daniel and the kids sang several traditional songs together and Victoria Burge participated with the dance studio team “Fire bird” . Children performed a traditional Russian dance along with a couple modern pieces.

Award ceremony in Saint Louis

World War II anniversary medal award ceremony

Event in Saint Louis Missouri dedicated to 70th anniversary since World War II Victory. Together with the president and vice president of Veterans Association in Saint Louis, Alexander and Ilya. There were 65 Veterans with families at this award ceremony. Veterans were awarded a presidents medal of Honor for their service.
